Saturday morning nogi class


This morning we developed our skill aquisition and understanding of sweeping and passing seated guard.

The sitter's goal was to make connection to the stander (double shin inside connnection, double lower leg connection with the hands). They then hold this position for as long as possible or, put the stander on their backside; or put the stander's hands on the matt over the sitter's head.

The stander's goal was to get a knee to the floor, close to the torso of the sitter, in the hip to armpit space.


We then did sparring rounds without submissions - the focus was pinning control and exploring new movement possibilities.
